A piece I made about my best friend, Dan – who passed away in 2010 in his early 20s. Keep Heaven cozy for us, big guy.
August 15th, 2013 saw my basset hound, Hamlet, hit his 10th birthday. That’s right, a decade of Ham! Ha. I’m currently situated in Chicago, and he’s in Florida with my parents. I miss the little bugger.
In the late spring of 2012, I had an opportunity to work on the branding of then emerging Chicago hip hop talent – Chance the Rapper. I designed his logo and did posters for his various gigs until January 2013. I had to take a hiatus due to school, but here’s an early gig poster.
Concept art for an unfinished project. Cut and arranged from magazine clippings. Basically the tale of Theseus re-imagined in 1920s Spain.
Selection of older cards I did for family members…
Greetings, friend. My name is Dre (or @dvsdre on Twitter). I am a visual creative in love with 30′s cinema, 40′s illustration, 50′s design, 60′s rock, 70′s funk, and 90′s rap. Chicago sports, dogs, and the Gálapagos intrigue me. Please enjoy my work.
